The Wayne State College men's soccer club team went 1-1 in games against the Minot State Beavers and the North Dakota Fighting Hawks to move their record on the year to 3-3.
On Saturday, September 30, the Wildcats squared up against the Minot State Beavers. The Beavers are in their first year as a club soccer program. The Wildcats played in a hard fought contest, but lost 3-0 to the Beavers.
With the calendar flipping to the month of October, on Sunday the Wildcats faced off with the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota. This game was tightly contested all the way to the end, with the Wildcats coming out on top 2-1. Two Wildcats contributed goals in the winning effort;
Jackson Fluckey and Olwethu Mthimkulu.
The Wildcats next contest is at home on Sunday, October 8 against the Augustana Vikings. The game is set to take place at the Soccer/Rugby Complex on the campus of Wayne State College at 1 P.M.
