What constitute a club sport?
Club sports are activities related to sports and recreation. Activities that require physical fatigue, routinely practices and compete against other institutions are eligible for club sport status.
Who can be a member of WSC Club Sports?
Membership is open to all Wayne State College students. Faculty and staff of WSC are eligible to participate in a limited capacity per governing body policies.
How do I join a club?
There are a few options. 1) Click on the interest form found on any of the clubs sports pages or in the drop down section of 'Sports'. 2) Go to the Staff Directory and find an advisor or coach of the club you wish to join and email the faculty/staff member.
How much does it cost to join a club?
Membership dues vary for each club sport. All clubs are funded by Student Allocation Fees, but doesn't always cover the total cost of the team. For the remaining balance, clubs are responsible for fundraising or collecting dues.
Is there a baseline skill in order to compete in a club sport?
No experience is necessary to join. Most clubs recruit members who have never played the sport and teach them.
