About Intramurals

Intramural Sports are a way for students to interact on campus, while participating in a variety of sporting activities they enjoy. Team up with friends or fly solo to compete against others on campus. Students who wish to compete just for fun or those who are highly skilled and competitive are all welcome to join in on all we have to offer. With nearly 40 events throughout the year, everyone can find their favored sport and try to dominate the competition in hopes to win the legendary IM CHAMPIONS T-SHIRT.
The question is… Do you have what it takes to be a champion?

Duration Variations
For our most popular sports, we offer league play. Leagues will be 3 or 6-week long round-robin games where you play everyone in your time slot to determine your playoff fate. However, be careful how you treat others, your sportsmanship counts!

Tournaments could last one day or be spread out amongst a week or two, depending on how many teams register. Tournaments are single elimination, where participants must survive and advance.

Events vary in the style of competition. Whether you’re participating in a cribbage tournament or at trivia night, being good at what you do will get you to the top! The Intramural Sports program implements new events for the students every year. We are always open to new activities to try out!

Why Participate?
With so many requirements in and out of the classroom, it is important to take time out periodically for recreational pursuits to maintain a healthy balance of work and play. This is a time when you can relax from strenuous school work and the rapid pace of modern living. You'll make social contacts and friendships that may not readily be developed in the classroom. You'll learn the important values developed through team spirit, cooperation, and experience, and the satisfaction of belonging to a group. You'll develop sportsmanship of the highest order. Every individual, regardless of ability, should realize the joy and fun of participation in a favorite sport against good competition.
