NCWA RANKINGS
The women's wrestling program has officially hit the mat for its inaugural season, and freshman club president Raegan Maas is already making waves. Maas, a Wayne native, enters the season ranked 10th nationally in the 110-pound weight class.
Maas not only spearheaded the establishment of the program this fall but also successfully organized the team's participation in three tournaments. While the team primarily practices folk-style wrestling, the tournaments have largely focused on freestyle competition—a challenging adjustment. Despite the transition, Maas has battled her way to a respectable 3-4 record heading into the winter break.
The women's wrestling team will return to action on February 15 at the Jimmy May Open in Baldwin City, Kansas.Â
