The Wayne State College Men's Rugby team will be heading to St. Louis for National Collegiate Rugby Small College Regionals after a 63-12 win over the University of Wisconsin Steven's Point. The Wildcats have now made the St. Louis Regional for the second straight year.
"This team has the potential to win it all," said
Marco Ferrao. "We've learned from the past that potential doesn't always translate to results, but this year we have proven that we deserve to win this whole thing."
The Wildcats were able to make it all the way to the National Championship a season ago, before falling to the Siena College Saints.
The Round of 16 matchup will be on Saturday at 11 AM against the 20th ranked Franciscan University Barons.
