It was a tough showing for the lady Wildcats in Houston while they competed at another Final Four national tournament – this time, in the newly formed Division II league. This division was created to balance out bottom Division I and top Small College programs. Wayne State, who hasn't suffered a loss in over three years in 15s-style rugby, lost two this weekend, finishing fourth in the nation. The Wildcats ended their season 9-2 overall, outscoring their opponents 444-86.
In the semifinal, WSC fell to a physical Marquette team 0-17. In the consolation game, the Wildcat women lost to Roger Williams 10-49.
The women will compete in 7's in the spring of 2023.
