The Wayne State College Wildcat men's rugby team has once again qualified for the National Collegiate Rugby Championships, and will be advancing to the Round of 16 in St. Louis, Mo.
After a forfeit win over the Minneosta State Moorhead University Dragon, the Wildcats finally returned to the field on Saturday, Nov. 11 to play the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Bluegolds. The Wildcats poured it on the Bluegolds, easily winning the Round of 32 match 71-14.
The Wildcats will take on the 9th ranked Franciscan University Barons on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 11 A.M. in the Round of 16. The game is set to take place at the Forest Park Complex in St. Louis. If the Wildcats win that match-up, they will face the winner of Slippery Rock and St. Johns-Minnesota on Sunday, Nov. 19.
