WSC Valorant played their 2nd match of the NECC season Monday versus Illinois Wesleyan University. Starting off with a offensive half on the first map, it looked like WSC's double sentinel team composition was very effective. Captain Matthew "Taunt" Williams and his crew came into the match with a strong plan, relying on team cohesion and a mix of offensive tempos to win the first half 7-5. Taunt led the team with an impressive 13-6-6 KDA on viper in just the first half. The second half, however, did not bold so well for WSC, falling 9-13 to IWU's strong site holds and post plant setups. On Map 2: Ascent, the story was much of the same, WSC losing 6-13, with most of their round wins on the attacking side. WSC Valorant looks to improve their communication and site retakes ahead of next week's match against University of Wisconsin-Madison.
