The Wayne State College Women's Volleyball club team went 1-4 over the weekend at the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Crossover Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Wildcats opened Saturday with three pool play games. The first game matched up with the host, the Saint Louis University Billikens. WSC lost in straight sets. WSC also dropped straight sets to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The final game of pool play saw the Wildcats play the Shockers from Wichita State. This game went into a decisive third set, which the Wildcats lost to lose the game.
Entering tournament play, the Wildcats were hungry for a win. They matched up with the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. This match also went into a third set, only this time the Wildcats pulled away victorious. The second game of tournament saw the the Wildcats play the Ottawa Arizona Spirit, a game that the Wildcats dropped in straight sets. These results led to the Wildcats finishing teh weekend with a 1-4 record.
The Wildcats next tournament is at the Creighton University Invitational in Omaha, NE on Saturday, March 18.
