The Wayne State College Women's Rugby team traveled to South Dakota to take part in the South Dakota 7s Rugby Tournament on Saturday, March 25. The Wildcats went 3-0 during the tournament.
The first game pit the Wildcats against the University of South Dakota's B team. The Coyotes were no match for the Wildcats, who ran away with a 25-5 win. Game number two was against Prairie State College, another match the Wildcats dominated 30-0. The final game of the tournament had the Wildcats and Coyotes face off again, only this time WSC faced the A team from USD. This was yet another easy victory for WSC, 15-0.
There was another match played involving teh WSC rookie squad, who went up against the rookie team from USD and Prairie State. This game was another runaway for the Wildcats, as they easily won 20-0.
The Wildcat women will be back in action Saturday, April 15, in the National Collegiate Rugby 7s National Qualifier in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin.
