The Wayne State College Men's Rugby team traveled to Washington D.C. to compete in the Collegiate Rugby 7's Cup.
The men opened the tournament in pool play against the University if Wisconsin-Stevens Point, with the Wildcats winning 17-0. Their second pool play match was a 15's National Championship rematch against Cal Poly Humboldt. The Lumberjacks got the best of WSC again, winning 10-5.
In bracket play, the Wildcats matched up with Christendom College, a matchup that the Wildcats won 15-7 to move on to the seventh place game against Susquehanna University. The Riverhawks defeated WSC 21-14, as the Wildcats claim 8th place.
WSC finished their 7's season with an 8-8 record. Their overall record in all competitions was 24-9.
