The Wayne State College Women's Rugby team placed 8th at this past weekend's Collegiate 7's Rugby Cup in Washington D.C.
In pool play, WSC won their first match against Salisbury University, 10-0. The script was entirely flipped on the Wildcats in game number two of pool play against Colorado School of Mines, as CSoM won 10-0. In bracket play, it was rough going for the Wildcats. The first game was played against Coastal Carolina University, a match the Chanticleers dominated 32-0. The 7th place game matched WSC up with Texas A&M-San Antonio. The Jaguars got their revenge fro the 15's season by taking 7th place, 43-5.
The women finish out the 7's campaign 7-4. Their overall record across all competition was 16-6.
