The Wayne State College women's rugby team is seeking to get back to the Final Four in Houston. The No. 3 Wildcats will meet the No. 13 North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Saturday, Nov. 16.
The Wildcats' season has been plagued by injuries, as the squad has been reduced to 24 players, with 10 of them being first year players.
Yet, the team has earned a 3-2 record during the regular season, including playing a Division I opponent in then No. 3 Southern Nazarene back on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The Wildcats and FIghting Hawks take the field in Kansas City, Missouri at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. If WSC wins their Sweet 16 match against UND, they will be playing the winner of the Northern Michigan Panthers and the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers in the Elite 8 on Sunday, Nov. 17 at noon CST.
