Men's Wrestling earns 3rd place at Colorado State Invitational

| By:
On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Wayne State College men's wrestling team took their yearly visit to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on the competition at the Colorado State Invitational. The Wildcats came away with a third place finish and some great individual performances.
The team overall went 22-21, which is similar to the results from previous years, and the third place finish only saw them finish behind Utah Tech and Colorado State.
Individually, two Wildcats brought home gold medals. Juniors Gavin Zoucha (165 lb.) and Zach Bongers (125 lb.) each earned a first place finish in their weight class. A trio of seniors in Mohamed Siidow (149 lb.), Chance Sjulin (174 lb.), and Micah Noel (197 lb.) earned silver medals. Sophomores Caleb Berg (149 lb.) and Zander Baker (157 lb.), and freshman Tristin Grim (235 lb.) all earned bronze medaling in their respective weight classes.
The men's wrestling team will travel to Mitchell, South Dakota, to compete in the Dakota Wesleyan Open on Saturday, Nov. 9.
