The Wayne State College women's club volleyball team traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the Midwest Plains Volleyball Conference West Regional.
The Wildcats A team went 2-2 throughout the tournament. The Wildcats picked up wins against the University or Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks and the Nebraska Cornhuskers' B side team, while dropping games to both the Iowa Hawkeyes' A and B teams. The Wildcats finished the tournament with a second place finish in the silver bracket.
WSC's B side team went 0-4 for the tournament. Their opponents were the Nebraska Cornhuskers' A team, the Hawkeyes' B team, Kansas State's B side team, and Wichita State's B side team.
The women's volleyball team is back in action this weekend at the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Crossover Tournament in Aurora, Illinois.Â
