The Wayne State College women's club volleyball team traveled to Aurora, Illinois to take part in the Midwest Plains Volleyball Conference Championships from Saturday, April 6 to Sunday, April 7.
The team had a tough tournament. The first two pool play games were not kind to the Wildcats, as they lost to the Nebraska Cornhuskers 25-9, 25-16 and the Arkansas Razorbacks 25-6, 25-12. The final game of pool play was made close by the Wildcats, but they were unable to prevail against the Kansas State Wildcats, losing in straight sets 25-21, 25-23. Bracket play on Sunday saw the women's team enter the silver bracket, and they exit early after a straight set loss to the Creighton Bluejays 25-9, 25-20.
This competition concludes the women's season.
