WSC Rocket League is the Team to Beat

| By:
Wayne State College's Rocket League team has been putting in the effort this semester, and it shows. They are competing in three different leagues currently, and have only taken a single loss across all of these leagues. This means the team has a dominating 23 - 1 record. The leagues WSC Rocket League has been playing in are the ECAC, the NECC, and The Collegiate Champions League. The Collegiate Champions League is a regional league of schools in this area, and with being undefeated in this league WSC is traveling down to Dakota State for semi finals & finals this weekend.

Esports Director, and Rocket League coach has this to say about how this season is going. "At the end of last season the team was worried about the future as we were losing our senior & team captain Dion Coffey "Cap Insano". Luckily a transfer student by the name of Eli Thalmann "BadNews."came to WSC from Kansas Wesleyan to fill the empty role and helped lead the team to significant wins this season. With only one tough loss to CU Boulder in the regular NECC season, I'm confident the team has what it takes to not only win the NECC, but also ECAC and CCL. We have worked extremely hard to implement new play styles this season. The team and I are very happy with how far we have come in such a short time with their new member."

When asking the team about what has been pushing them forward and making this season so successful WSC Rocket League member "Amatsu" had this to say "Our team chemistry is possibly the best it's ever been. Bad and I are naturally offensive and aggressively placed on the pitch, while Flush is inclined to be more reserved in his approach to the game. He's often the defensive backbone that keeps the structure in place, in reality he is our most important piece to the puzzle." Team chemistry can make or break a team, and with the amount of talent we have seen on the WSC Rocket League team its clear this chemistry is the glue that holds them all together. Amatsu was also asked if he thinks his team will be taking home any of the championship titles this season, this is what he had to say. "With our commitment to the game and chemistry, I have no doubt we can take home a championship win in our respective leagues. The pool for competition has deepened significantly since I started playing, but I have full trust in our capabilities individually and as a cohesive unit."

Clearly WSC Rocket League isn't messing around so you won't want to miss out on the upcoming playoff brackets!

As always, go cats!
