In a thrilling showdown of rocket-powered cars and precision teamwork, Rocket League enthusiasts gathered at the Mid-America Gaming Expo in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on September 9th, to showcase their skills and vie for glory. The event featured a diverse lineup of teams, and Wayne State College emerged as a notable contender throughout the competition.

Pool Play:
The day kicked off with a series of intense matchups in pool play. Wayne State College faced off against several formidable opponents, displaying their prowess in aerial maneuvers and ball control. They experienced a mixed bag of results, with notable victories against Iowa Western Community College and York College, each ending in Wayne State College's favor with scores of 3-0 and 3-1, respectively. However, they faced a setback against Northwestern College, losing 0-3, and found their footing once again against Highland Community College, securing a dominant 3-0 victory.

Semifinal Showdown:
As the stakes grew higher, Wayne State College faced the formidable Monkey Men in the semifinal. In a closely contested series, Wayne State College put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short with a 1-3 scoreline, ending their run for the championship title.

Claiming Third Place:
Despite the semifinal setback, Wayne State College remained undeterred and determined to finish the tournament on a high note. They locked horns with Buena Vista College in the third-place match, showcasing their resilience and strategic prowess. In a convincing performance, Wayne State College emerged victorious with a commanding 3-0 score, securing a well-deserved third-place finish in the Mid-America Gaming Expo Rocket League competition.
