Wildcat Men's Volleyball Struggles at Conference Tournament

    The Wayne State College men's volleyball team traveled to Aurora, Illinois to take part in the Midwest Plains Volleyball Conference Championships from Saturday, April 6 to Sunday, April 7.

    The men's team had a tough run through pool play on Saturday, as they went 0-3. The first game was a competitive straight set loss to the Butler Bulldogs 25-20, 25-23. The next two games were not as favorable to WSC, as they lost to the Missouri Tigers 25-20, 25-17 and the Creighton Bluejays 25-17, 25-17. The results from pool play put WSC into the silver bracket on Sunday, where they were knocked out in the first round by the Wichita State Shockers 25-12, 25-17. Overall, WSC finished 0-4 and finished in 16th place out of 16 competing team.

The men have one more tournament to close out the year - the national tournament in Kansas City, MO.
