Junior Ryan Roesler threw a complete game and went 5 for 11 at the plate with 6 RBI to lead Wayne State in a four game split with Northwest Missouri State this past weekend. Roesler's home run in the first inning highlighted a 19 hit performance for the Wildcats in game one, where they scored runs in every frame excluding the seventh. Dane Christensen led the team with 5 hits alone and scored twice. Keithan Stafford was the starting pitcher for the Wildcats where he threw another complete game. Stafford walked three and struck out eight. He allowed six runs to score, none of them earned due to three Wildcat errors.

Game 2 saw a close game where Wayne State was hurt by allowing free bases. One Wildcat error and Austin Tramp started for the Wildcats and threw five innings, allowing 6 runs, five earned, as well as walking and striking out six. One Wildcats error and seven total walks allowed the Bearcats to add pressure to the Wayne State defense. Stafford had four hits in the game, and Roesler led the team with 2 RBI. Wayne State added one run in the sixth inning to bring them within two runs. Dane Christensen then took to the mound where he retired the side without allowing a hit. Northwest Missouri State was able to close the game without allowing another run, leading them to the win.

The bats stayed hot for the 'Cats in Game 3, tallying 11 runs on 18 hits. They jumped out to a 7-0 lead before the Bearcats were able to score their first run in the bottom of the fourth against Wildcats starting pitcher Roesler. Roesler threw a complete game for the Wildcats en route to striking out 13 Bearcat batters. Jordan Oviedo had a game-high four hits. Roesler and Christensen each drove in two runs. Andy Kirindongo had a productive game at the plate, drawing three walks and hitting a double.

The tables flipped in Game 4. Northwest Missouri State were the visitors in the game and jumped all over Wildcat starter Karson Sander. Sander was unable to record an out in the first inning before reliever Kirindongo entered. The Wildcats were able to score one run in the bottom half, but the momentum stayed with Northwest Missouri State as they tacked on another three runs in the top of the second. Kirindongo threw 1.1 innings before being relieved in the top of the second by Christensen. Christensen and Oviedo each had two hits in the final game and Oviedo had the team's only two RBI. Christensen threw the final 5.2 innings for the Wildcats, allowing nine earned runs on nine hits, five walks, and four strikeouts.

The Wildcats have concluded their regular season and will now wait to see if they receive an invitation to the Great American Regional Tournament.
